Mid-Term Examination (for all Semester)

Exams are the way to test our knowledge. Without conducting the exams and test students don’t concentrate in their studies and learn their lessons properly. Exams are necessary in colleges to find out the real skills, talents and knowledge of the students.

Typing Competition

Why is typing necessary?

Even today, typing is the primary method of getting information into a computer, like the text you are reading now. Being proficient at typing helps you get that information into the computer faster, makes the computer more enjoyable, and prevents stress on the neck from having to look down at your fingers.

How can I improve my typing?

There are different techniques you can do to improve your typing skills. Below is a short list of different ideas and recommendations you can do to help improve your typing. Keep in mind that most people are not going to be able to improve their typing speed overnight.

Proper placement

Learn to type the proper way (no typing with one or two fingers). Your fingers should be on the home row keys, which are A, S, D, and F with the left hand and J, K, L, and ; with the right hand. If you’re on a non-English keyboard or a non-QWERTY keyboard, the home row keys may change.

Always type on a slanted keyboard

It is much easier to type on a slanted keyboard than a flat keyboard. If you’re using a desktop computer keyboard that is flat, turn the keyboard over and adjust the legs to make the keyboard slightly slanted. If you’re on a laptop, you can purchase a stand to make the keyboard slightly slanted.

Type more and practice

Starting with the most obvious, practicing typing more helps you improve your typing skills. The more you type, the more familiar you are going to become with the computer keyboard, position of the keys, and how your hands should be positioned.

When practicing, keep some of the below things in mind:

  1. Try not to look at the keyboard while typing. Not looking at the keyboard is usually hard for most people, but it’s a skill that should be learned. Not having to look at where the keys are on a keyboard can dramatically improve the speed of your typing. If you need help learning to not look at your hands, try putting a large piece of paper over your hands, or put stickers on each of the keys.
  2. Make sure your posture at the computer is right. For example, sit in an upright position with both feet flat on the floor and relax.

Sports and Creative Week

Youth sports are viewed as a rite of passage in a child’s development. If the clichés that permeate sports broadcasts and locker room speeches are to be believed, sports participation teaches children the value of hard work, builds character, and develops future leaders.

While the validity of these claims are questionable, the fact remains that parents allow millions of children to participate in youth sports each year. At the very least, parents have partial faith in the idea that youth sports are good for their kids.

Yet as a researcher and consultant who studies youth sports, I frequently speak with concerned parents. They’re worried that their child’s experience playing organized sports has diverged from their own

The physical activity includes movement of people and/or different objects – sport’s equipment. At the same time, sport includes noncompetative activities, like: jogging, running, exercising, swimming, … which are usually classified as recreation. It means using of time designed as a physical, health and mental refreshment of the human body.
